Section 4. Functions of the committee

The committee shall advise the Government on the following matters, namely :-

(a) the regulation of supply and purchase of cane for factories 1[and khandasari units];

(b) the varieties of cane which are suitable or unsuitable for use in factories 1[and khandasari units];

(c) the maintenance of healthy relations between occupiers of factories, 2[owners of khandasari units] cane growers, cane growners co-operative societies and councils;

(d) such other matters as may be prescribed.
