Mr. Alok Mahra, Advocate for respondent no. 2. Heard learned counsel for the parties. Petitioner appeared in an objective type test conducted by Uttarakhand Public Service Commission for appointment to the post of Police Constable. According to petitioner, due to inadvertent oversight, in his OMR answer sheet, he mentioned Booklet Series as ‘A’; while, it should have been written as ‘D’. Learned counsel for petitioner contends that due to this small mistake, petitioner is declared unsuccessful and he was not called for document verification. He further contends that if the OMR sheet is evaluated as Booklet Series ‘D’, then petitioner’s score of marks would be more than the last selected candidate in his category.

petitioner himself is to be blamed	for the
situation, which he is now facing.
Learned counsel for petitioner	submits
that petitioner has made a represen	tation to
Secretary, Uttarakhand Public	Service
Commission, who may be directed	to take
decision thereupon, sympathetically.
Accordingly, writ petition is dis	posed of
with a direction to Secretary, Utt	arakhand
Public Service Commission to look	into the
