			Mr. Yogesh Pant, learned counsel for the petitioner. An FIR was lodged against the petitioner under Sections 420, 467, 468
			& 471 of I.P.C. and charge-sheet has been submitted against petitioner by the Investigating Officer. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that charge-sheet is filed only under Section 420 I.P.C.
			Petitioner applied for passport,
			which was issued to her, however
			Passport Officer issued a notice dated 19.02.2019, to show cause as to why proceedings under relevant provisions of
			Passport Act, 1967 be not initiated
			against petitioner for suppressing
			information regarding pendency of
			criminal proceedings against her. Learned counsel for petitioner
			submits that after receiving the said
			notice, petitioner returned the passport to the Passport Officer. Now, petitioner is
			desirous of visiting Bangladesh to meet

her relatives. She has made a
representation to the Passport Officer by
relying upon notification dated
25.08.1993 issued by Ministry of
External Affairs, Government of India. In this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the Passport Officer
to take decision on the representation
dated 26.12.2022. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, writ petition
is disposed of with a direction to
Passport Officer to consider petitioner’s representation dated 26.12.2022 and take appropriate decision, as per law, within six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. ( Man oj Ku m ar Tiw ar i, J.) 01.03.2023 Aswal
