| WPCRL No.553 of 2021 Hon’ble R.C. Khulbe, J. Mr. M.S. Pal, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. K.V. Sah, learned counsel for the petitioners. Heard. This criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the learned Court below to expedite the proceedings of criminal case no.102/2020, “State Vs. Satish Kalra and Ors.” Punishable U/s 406, 420, 506 IPC, registered at Police Station Rishikesh, District-Dehradun. It is argued by learned senior counsel for the petitioners that the above case is pending since 2020 and there is no progress in the trial. From the perusal of the record, it is clear that the FIR was lodged with police station Rishikesh on 16.01.2019; charge sheet was submitted on 31.12.2019; the case is pending with A.C.J.M. Rishikesh since 2020; since then there is no progress in the matter. Accordingly, the present writ-petition is disposed of finally with the direction to the Court below to decide the above criminal case, expeditiously, preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
