Heard learned counsel for the parties through video conferencing.
Land of the petitioners was acquired for construction of Rishikesh-Karanprayag New Railway Line. According to the petitioners, compensation for the acquired land was paid to them, but certain additional benefits, which were decided to be given to them in a meeting, held on 20.06.2017 under the Chairmanship of District Magistrate, Tehri Garhwal, have not bee given to them.
Thus, feeling aggrieved, petitioners have approached this Court, seeking following relief:-
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners have jointly made representation to the concerned authority, but no decision has been taken thereupon so far.
Learned counsel for the petitioners confines his prayer and submits that petitioners be permitted to make fresh representation to the Competent Authority, which shall be decided at the earliest.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach District Magistrate, Tehri Garhwal by making separate representations. If such representations are made within ten days from today, District Magistrate shall consider the same and pass appropriate order, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such representations.
