The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition praying for quashing the order dated 30th April, 2018, as issued by All India Council for Technical Education, whereby, the institution of respondent No. 2, have been placed under withdrawal of approval for the academic year 201819, on the ground of there being certain deficiencies found in fulfilling the conditions for the grant of recognition / approval by the AICTE. However, with the passage of time and during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the academic year 2018-19 has come to an end and no fruitful purpose would be solved to adjudicate upon the present writ petition on merits.
The only anxiety of the petitioner is that grant of approval for the academic session 2019-20, once he presents the same before the AICTE, after fulfilling all terms and conditions as applicable for the grant of approval, the same would be considered by the AICTE as per law and it would pass an order on the same within a period of three weeks from the date of production of certified copy of the order.
Subject to the above observations and without observing anything on merits as against the earlier controversy, the Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly directing AICTE to independently consider the application for grant of permission for the academic year 2019-20 independently as per law.
Thus, the writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
There would be no order as to costs.
