Petitioner is the complainant / victim. The FIR was lodged against the named accused persons for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 504, 506 IPC.
The complainant through present criminal writ petition wanted respondent no. 3 to conduct investigation, in accordance with law.
On the last occasion, learned counsel for the respondent State appearing on behalf of respondent nos. 1 and 2 was requested to apprise the Court about the current status of investigation of the case.
Today learned A.G.A. submitted that no case for the offence punishable under Section 307 IPC is prima facie made out against the accused persons and the investigation in respect of other offences is being carried out.
The very object of filing of present writ petition has therefore been achieved. The criminal writ petition is, accordingly, closed.
Interim relief application no. 11561 of 2016 also stands disposed of.
