Applicants– Smt Kali Devi, Smt Sheetala Devi and Smt Sheela Devi, who are in jail in connection with Crime No. 27 of 2011, relating to offences punishable under section 147, 323, 504 and 307 of I.P.C., Police Station Chamoli, District Chamoli, have sought their release on bail.

Learned counsel for the applicants submitted that he does not want to press the bail application of Sheetala Devi, at this stage.

As to the other two applicants the bail application was heard on merits. Applicants Kali Devi and Sheela Devi are women. The First Information Report appears to have been lodged after delay of more than one month. No specific role has been assigned to the applicants Kali Devi and Sheela Devi.

Having considered submissions of learned counsel for the applicants, and learned counsel for the state, without expressing any opinion as to final

merits of the case, this Court is of the view that applicants Kali Devi and Sheela Devi deserve bail.

The Bail Application of Kali Devi and Sheela Devi is allowed. Let the applicants- Kali Devi and Sheela Devi, be released on bail on executing personal bond by each one of them, and furnishing two sureties for each one of them, each of the like amount, to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chamoli.

As far as, the bail application of Sheetala Devi is concerned, the same is dismissed as not pressed.
