Noting by Officer or Serial Date Office notes, reports, orders or Advocate No Proceedings with signature WP(C)75 of 2017 writ petition] some more land from the petitioner has been occupied for realignment by way of construction of the embankment and scaffolds. Mr. A.C. Bhowmik, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was not given any notice before occupying his land by the competent authority, the respondent No.4. In reply to that, Mr. T.D. Majumder, learned G.A. appearing for the respondents No. 1 to 5 has submitted that the notice has been published in the newspapers for the knowledge of the interested persons. However, Mr. A.C. Bhowmik, learned senior counsel has categorically submitted that if the petitioner is paid the adequate compensation, he does not have any objection in respect of acquisition, occupation or possession of the additional amount of land in reference to the notification dated 26.10.2016. In view of this, this writ petition is disposed of with the following direction :
