Heard Mr. Arijit Bhowmik, the learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. A. S. Lodh, the learned Additional G. A. for the State-respondents and Mr. S. Bhattacharji, the learned counsel for the respondent No.4.
This writ petition is directed against the appointment of the respondent No.4 as a Principal-in-charge. It is seen from the advertisement issued by the Tripura Public Service Commission vide No.4/2017 published in the local daily newspaper namely, “Dainik Sambad”, the process for regular appointment of the Principal of the institution has started. In this view of the matter, this writ petition need not be considered on merit.
In the result, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to complete the appointment process of the Principal of Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology (RIPSAT) in accordance with law after considering the cases of the petitioner as well as respondent No.4 and other eligible candidates.
Till the appointment process is completed, the respondent No.4 shall not be ousted. The appointment process shall be completed within 4(four) months.
