The matter has been placed before me on the letter addressed by the Arbitrator seeking extension of sixty days to conclude the proceeding.
It reveals from the record that while disposing of Arb.P. No.42/2016 Sri D.R. Chowdhury was appointed as an arbitrator to decide the arbitral dispute vide order dt.31.7.2017.
Counsel for the applicant Mr. A. Bhowmik has informed this court that the proceedings are at the final stage and may be concluded within a reasonable time. Prayed for.
Taking note of Sec.29A(3) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, I consider appropriate to extend the period further for 90 (ninety) days, as prayed for to conclude the arbitral proceedings.
Copy of this order be communicated to the Arbitrator for necessary compliance.
