This is an application for releasing Rs.9,27,163/-, which has been deposited by the insurance company for payment to the applicants to satisfy the judgment dated 30.06.2017 passed by this Court in MAC APP No.93 of 2014.
The direction of this Court was to release the deposited amount in accordance with the directions of the Tribunal. However, considering the matter in its entirety, I am of the view that 50% of the deposited amount should be released to the applicants in equal shares after satisfying the usual formalities.
In the meantime, the remaining amount shall be kept in a fixed deposit with any nationalized Bank for a period of 5 years in the names of the applicant Nos.1, 2, and 3 as per their respective shares. Liberty is given to the applicants to draw the interest in accordance with their share every year.
The application stands disposed of.
