This Writ Petition is filed declaring the action ol respondent No.4 in not redrafting/ rewriting the document No.516/ 1968, dated 11.03.196B, Book-I, Voiume No.25, and in rejecting the application of the Petitioner vide Memo. No.SS lO4O /2O24, dated 06.06.2024, in respect of the property admeasuring Ac.10,500 Sq.Yards (proposal corresponding Sy.No.9/1/H) Old Sy.No.9/1, situated at Saroornagar village, Hayathnagar, Hyderabad, as illegai, arbitrary, and violative of the provisions of Indian Stamp

Act and the lndieu-r Registration Act, as^{well as Article300-Aof the} Constitution of India, and consequently to direct^{respondent No.4} to redrilft/rervrite the document No.516/1958, dated^11.03.1968, Book-I, in Volume No.25, in respect of the said^property.

Heard Sri L.Ravichander, learned Senior Counsel representing Sri Deepak Misra, learned counsel for the^petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Stamps and Registration appearing lor the respondent Nos.1 to 4.

The leamed Government Pleader, upon instructions, submits that some ol the Book-1 Registers of SRO, Azampura, were destroyed in a fire acciclent ald that the subject document bearing No.516 of 1968, which was copied in Book-l Register Volume No.25, is also among the destroyed registers. Therefore, the said fact 'vl,as informed to the petitioner vide office correspcrndence No.SS/ lO4O /24, dated 06.06.2024 arld 30.O4.2025.It is further submitted that, when a page in a register book shorv signs of cmmbling or when an entr5z shows signs of fading, the same shali with the prior sanction of the District Registrar, Hyderabad (South)(respondent No.3 herein), be recopied

by following the prescribed procedure under Rule 196 of the Registration Ru1es.

ln view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed o[, directing respondent No.4 to consider the claim of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, in accordance with law, for redrafting/re-writing document No.516 of 1968, dated 11.03.1968, copied in Volume No.25, 1n respect of property admeasuring iO5O0 Sq.Yards (proposed corresponding survey number 9 / I /Hl O1d Sy.No.9/ 1, situated at Saroornagar Village, Hayathnagar, Hyderabad.
