"The writ petition is allowed. This Court opines that the request of the petitioner cannot be rejected on frivolous grounds and the object behind the scheme of compassionate appointment should be borne in mind while considering an application seeking appointment on compassionate grounds by the concerned authorities and therefore, the order impugned dated 24.07.2023 issued by the Managing Director, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board, Hyderabad is set aside and the matter is remitted to the concerned authority for re-consideration of the subject issue, in accordance to law duly taking into consideration the object of compassionate appointment and also the observations of the Apex Court in the Judgments referred to and extracted above and pass appropraate orders pertaining to the request of the petitioner for providing suitable appointment on compassionate grounds, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and duly communicate the decision to the petitioner. However, there shall be no order as to costs".
