Leamed l\ssistant Govemment pleader for Home, on the other hand, submits that the respondent/police authorities have never inrervene,l in any civil dispute, as alleged by the petitioner, nor have the',, clirected or compelled the petitioner to arrive at a settlement. It is contended that the allegatiors made in the petition are unsupponed by material evidence and rest solely on r'rnsubstantiated aver:rnenrs in the pleadings. Accordingly dis miss al of the petition ir; sought.

In view ol the petitioner's assertions, the pendency of the civil dispute bef,:,r.e the competent civil court, and having regard to the limited roie ,if the police authorities in such maners, this court finds it approprJate to direct the respondent/police authorities not
