With the consent of the parties, this writ petitic,n is being disposed of at the stage of admission

Heard Ms T.Kanya Kumari, learned counsel for th,,: petitioner and the learned^(]overnment Pleader for Services-I, appeadng for the respondents and perused the record

According to the petitioner, his grand father late NeLrsaiah was appointed as Village Assistalt (Neeradi) in the year 1954-55 and he worked till his cleath on 31.3.1981 and thereafter petitioner's father was appointed as Village Assistant (Neeradi) on 1.4.198i and while working as Village Assistant, petitioner's father died. Therefore, petitioner made a representation to the respondenl No.2 on 22.7.2024, seeking to appoint him as Viliage Assrstant (l"leeradl) on compassionate grounds, but so far no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, petitioner seeks indulgence ol this Court by way of this writ petition.

The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that since the representation of the petitioner is pending, the respondent No.2 will consider ald pass appropriate orders thereon, as per law.

Having regard to the submissions made by the respective parties, without going into merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent No.2 to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 22.7.2024 strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferabiy within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this writ petition stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
