This appeal is filed by the appellants_claimants who are the parents of the deceased girl against the Orc{er and Decree dated 10.01.2006 in O.p.No.69 of 2004 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal_cum_V Additional District Judge (F.T.C), Ranga Reddy District at L.B Nagar, where under the Tribunal granted an amount of Rs.70,000/_ towards cornpensation along with interes t @ 7.5% per annum as against the claim of Rs.2,00,000/_ on account of the death of the daughter of the claimants in the motor vehicle accident occurred on 11.10.2003.

Heard learned counsel for the claimants and learned counsel for the respondent_Insurance Company and perused the record.

The case of the appellants-claimants who are^the

parents of the deceased daughter is that on^{11.10.2003she} was involved in a road traffic accident^{resulting in death.}

The Tribunal having considered the evidence onrecord deemed it appropriate^to grant^{compensation of Rs.70,000/-.}

The Hon'ble Supreme Court in^MeenaDeui as.^Nunu Chand Mahto @^{NemchanilMahtol under similar} circumstances granted compensation of^{Rs.5,00,000/- in a} case^{of a minor's death. Further, the Hon'bleSupreme Court} in Magma General lnsurance Company Linited^{os. Nanu} Ram alias Chuhru Ram and Othercz held^{that under the} head of 'parental consortium'^{an amount of Rs.44,000/- can} be granted to each of the parents.

Following the above said judgments of the^Hon'ble Supreme Court, this Court^{deems it appropriateto grant} compensation^{of Rs.5,00,000/- towards death of the deceased}
