O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed challenging the order dated 04.05.2009 passed by the 1^st respondent rejecting the petitioner’s application for grant of Freedom Fighter Pension.

This Court on 25.06.2010, while admitting the writ petition granted interim direction directing the 2^nd respondent to send the verification report of the petitioner to the 1^st respondent so as to consider the same by the 1^st respondent for grant of Freedom Fighter Pension to the petitioner under Swathantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme 1980.

Counter affidavit is filed by the 1^st respondent stating that they have not received any verification report from the State Government; that basing on the available material, they have passed the impugned order; and that as and when they receive report from the 2^nd respondent, the claim of the petitioner would be considered.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri G.Venkateswarlu, learned Standing Counsel for Central Government appearing for 1^st respondent and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the 2^nd respondent is directed to send verification report to the 1^st respondent as directed by this Court on 25.06.2010 in WP.MP.No.18369 of 2010, as expeditiously as possible, if not already sent and after receiving the said verification report,

the 1^st respondent shall consider the case of the petitioner, in accordance with the scheme.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as

to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
