Contempt Case No.2831 of 2017

Order: (Per the Hon’ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan)

On notice in Form No. I being issued, the respondent-contemnors are present in Court today.

This Contempt Case is filed alleging violation of the order passed by this Court in W.P.M.P. No. 36566 of 2017 in W.P. No. 29386 of 2017 dated 12.9.2017. By the order passed therein, both respondents 2 and 4 were directed, in consultation with each other, to send proposals to the Commissioner, EPF and to the Life Insurance Corporation of India for release of the provident fund, gratuity and group insurance dues of the petitioner within two months.

The 2^nd respondent has filed counter affidavit wherein it is stated that the earn leave salary and gratuity amount of the petitioner were released vide proceedings dated 5.3.2018; the EPF amount has already been settled by the EPF authorities; and the terminal benefits have been released from the common funds of the Andhra Pradesh Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Ltd., and the Telangana State Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Ltd.

Sri Ravi Kondaveeti, learned counsel for the petitioner, would fairly state that the order, violation of which is alleged in the Contempt Case, has since been complied with.
