ORDER:
This writ petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in trying to discontinue the petitioners as cooks/implementing agencies of Mid-Day Meals Scheme in respondent No.5 – school.
At the hearing, Mr. B. Narasimha Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioners, submitted that there was a serious threat of discontinuance of the petitioners when the writ petition was filed in the year 2007, that as of now no such threat exists and that the petitioners are being continued as cooks/implementing agencies. In view of this submission, adjudication of the writ petition on merits is not necessary.
The writ petition is accordingly closed.
As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P. No.17439 of
2007 shall also stand closed.
