The petitioners and their ancestors claim to have been residing in the huts situated in Sy.No.180/1 of Harijanwada, Gannavaram, Krishna District, for more than 40 years. Originally one late Velivela Seetharamaiah was the original pattadar and owner of the land in Sy.No.180/1. The said Seetharamaiah had no issues and while he was serving as M.L.A. of Gannavaram, allowed the ancestors of the petitioners to erect huts in the said land and gave the said land for their dwelling. Since four decades, the ancestors of the petitioners and the petitioners are residing in the said land admeasuring Ac.1.00 by erecting huts. It is stated that the petitioners requested the revenue authorities to grant house site pattas to the petitioners in the said land as they belong to Scheduled Caste Community. Pursuant to the representations made by the petitioners, the second respondent directed the third respondent to submit report on the representations and prepare a list of eligible candidates for grant of house site pattas. It is said that so far, the third respondent has neither conducted any enquiry nor submitted any report. It is alleged that some of realtors with the connivance of respondent Nos.3 and 4 are trying to grab the land by evicting the petitioners from the huts forcibly by hook or crook. Respondent Nos.3 and 4 are alleged to have threatened the petitioners with dire consequences and trying to evict the petitioners.
