The action of the respondents in withholding freedom fighters pension of the petitioners is the subject matter in the present writ petition.

2. Heard Sri K.Jagadishwar Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Respondents apart from perusing the material available on record.

3. According to the petitioners, they are the freedom fighters and fought against the then Nizam Government for its merger into Union of India. The State Government in terms of the Swatantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme, 1979, accorded freedom fighters pension in favour of the petitioners herein in the year 1980. Subsequently, in view of telegraphic orders issued by the State Government, the payment of pension was stopped by the respondent authorities to the petitioners. Challenging the said action, the present writ petition came to be filed in the year 2010.

4. This Court, on 4.10.2010, passed an order, directing the 2^nd respondent-District Collector to have the matter re-examined by the Revenue Divisional Officer concerned and to submit a report to the State Government concerned.

Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioners has placed on record report vide proceedings Rc.No.C6/4485/2010 dated 31.3.2011 submitted by the District Collector, Karimnagar to the Principal Secretary to the Government (Revenue FF.II) Department, requesting the State Government to arrange to take further action to sanction to (29) persons only. The learned counsel requests this Court to direct the State Government to

take appropriate action based on the said report submitted by the District Collector. This Court considers the said request as a reasonable one.

For the aforesaid reasons, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the State Government to take appropriate action on the report vide proceedings Rc.No.C6/4485/2010 dated 31.3.2011 submitted by the District Collector, Karimnagar and to pass appropriate orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of this order. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
