Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare appearing for the respondents.

The writ petition is filed by the petitioner questioning the legality and correctness of the order passed by the District Collector, Adilabad, the 2^nd respondent herein, in proceedings No.C3/5308/2012-18, dated 18.06.2014.

During the last hearing, however, it was noticed that the order impugned is clearly appealable before the Government. But the learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that the appeals are not being accepted by the office of the Principal Secretary, Tribal Welfare. In view of the same, the learned Government Pleader was required to get instructions.

Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the Department, as BC Welfare, is presently In-charge of Tribal Welfare Department also and the petitioner can prefer an appeal addressed to Principal Secretary, Tribal Welfare, which is received by the Department of BC Welfare and will proceed accordingly.

In view of the said alternative remedy available to the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to approach the

said appellate authority within one week from today and if such an appeal is preferred, the 1^st respondent shall consider the same along with the interlocutory application, if any filed, and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two weeks from the date of filing of the appeal along with the interlocutory application. There shall be no order as to costs.

The miscellaneous petitions, if any, filed in this writ petition shall stand closed.
