The petitioner is a student aspiring to apply to MBBS course of study in the medical colleges run by private managements. The grievance of the petitioner is that the medical colleges have advertised calling for applications fixing the last date, but are not furnishing the application forms to enable the petitioner to apply and aggrieved by such action, this writ petition is instituted.

2. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Standing Counsel representing Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences submits that as per the directions issued by this Court, in the case of TUMMARI JALANDHER Vs.

GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH AND OTHER S^[1] , the University is in the process of notifying the application form, which is uniformly applicable to all the private institutions and the University shall make available the application forms to the prospective students. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the petitioner can approach the Registrar of the University to furnish copy of the application. Learned Standing Counsel further submits that the private colleges are not authorized to

notify the dates of admissions and only when the University authorizes them, the applications can be accepted by the private medical institutions. Therefore, the individual notification issued by the private medical college is not valid.

3. Having regard to the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the Registrar of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences to obtain an application form. The Registrar is also directed to furnish the application form as and when requested by the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
