The petitioner seeks a direction to the Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board to take a decision as to the appointment of a Mutawalli for the Wakf institution, Masjid Mahboobia (Mosque Mahboob Saheb). The petitioner claims entitlement to be considered for such appointment and states that the report dated 01.10.2011, which emanated out of the enquiry initiated by the Board, supports his candidature.

2. Sri K.Ravinder Reddy, learned counsel representing Sri M.A.K.Mukheed, learned Standing Counsel for Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board, states on instructions that the petitioner’s candidature is under consideration and an appropriate decision would be taken in the matter shortly.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board to consider the case of the petitioner on the basis of the enquiry report dated 01.10.2011 and pass appropriate reasoned orders as to the appointment of a Mutawalli for the subject Wakf institution expeditiously and in any event, not later than four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. W.P.M.P.No. 32290 of 2013 shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No
