ORDER :
This Writ Petition is filed complaining that the second respondentGreater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation is attempting to demolish the petitioners’ houses without following the due process of law.
The learned standing counsel Sri N.Ranga Reddy, who accepted the notice on behalf of the second respondent, would submit that the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation would strictly adhere to the principles of law and the provisions contained in the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, which Act is extended in its application to Visakhapatnam and then alone, undertake the demolition. However, the petitioners shall not make any further constructions, additions or alterations to the existing structures in any manner whatsoever without first obtaining appropriate permission from the second respondent. The second respondent will follow the due process of law and then alone demolish the structures belonging to the petitioners.
With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of after hearing the learned counsel appearing on either side.
