2. The petitioner is Nehru Harijan Mahila Mandali, which is a registered society and it is represented by its president Smt. Moddu Anjamma. The case of the petitioner – society is that the society consists of members belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Economically backward classes. The Government acquired an extent of Acs.15-11 cents in Sy.Nos.178, 184 and 185 of Chilkaluripeta, Purushothapatnam village, Guntur District, for providing sites under the social welfare scheme. The case of the petitioner is that the said land is suitable for living, as it is nearer to drinking water facility, transport facility etc. Now the grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents are proposing to allot house site in Sy.No.27 of the said village, which is not useful for habitation and not convenient for living. Though the petitioner’s society earlier field writ petitions before this court and made representations, the claim of the members of the society for providing house sites, is not being considered by the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition for a direction to the respondents to allot the house sites to the petitioner in the land acquired by the respondents in Sy.Nos.178, 184 and 185 of Chilakaluripeta, Purushothapatnam village, Guntur District.
