This Writ Petition is filed seeking a mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not keeping watch and ward over the Old Bus Stand site situated at Tenali Town, as illegal.

Petitioner claims to be a resident of house bearing D.No.21-17-6/1, Vishnubhatla Vari Veedhi, Ramalingeswarapeta, Tenali, and his house is adjoining the Old Bus Depot of APSRTC at Tenali. It is stated that the said bus depot is shifted to some other place as such the site in question is vacant. In this Writ Petition, it is the case of the petitioner that as there is no watch and ward over the said site, which is not encircled by a compound wall, some people are using the same for illegal purposes to consume alcohol etc. It is stated that in spite of the petitioner and others filing representation, which was received by the respondent authorities on 30.01.2012, no action is taken by the respondents.

Whether the respondents are keeping watch and ward over the site in question or not is not the matter to be

adjudicated by this Court. In view of the same, as the site in question belongs to APSRTC, it is for the respondent authorities to decide the same. In any event, as it is the case of the petitioner that at night times, the site in question is misused by some persons by consuming alcohol and by allowing women and it is not supported by proper lighting, I deem it appropriate to permit the petitioner to submit further representation to the first respondent - Depot Manager, APSRTC, Tenali, Guntur District, within a period of four weeks. If any such representation is filed, I am sure, the first respondent will look into the same and take appropriate decision.

Subject to the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

In view of disposal of the Writ Petition, WPMP.No.47282 of 2012 also stands disposed of.
