While denying the various allegations made by the petitioners, it is stated in the counter that one Sri M.D.P.Rama Koteswar Rao, Camp Clerk to the Collector, Krishna Camp Office, Vijayawada, has lodged a complaint with Suryaraopet P.S. on 15.03.2012, stating that on 13.03.2012 at about 6 p.m., he was holding the cell phone of Collector, Krishna, bearing No.9491044500, as the latter was attending a meeting. When he was away from the phone, 3 missed calls were received from cell phone No.9603931870, and when he rang up to the said phone, one person responded and said that Hon’ble Minister Smt.Geeta Reddy wants to speak, and later, one lady talked and asked him to recommend for appointment of two interested candidates for VRO post, and he informed the same to the Collector, Krishna. Later, when the Collector rang up to the peshi of the Hon’ble Minister, he came to know that it was a fake call. It is stated that on the aforesaid complaint, a case is registered in Crime No.65 of 2012 for the offences under Sections 419 and 420 r/w.34 of IPC and the matter is under investigation. It is stated that as the cell number was in the name of the 1st petitioner, inquiry is being conducted in the matter and the earlier writ petition filed by the petitioners is also disposed of by recording a finding that the allegations made by the petitioners are false.
