ORDER:
The relief sought for in this writ petition is to declare the action of the respondent in issuing tender notification, in Rc.No.2153/2007/P.H./F.6 dated 25.2.2009, in respect of 26 works alone as arbitrary and as contrary to G.O.Ms.No.581 dated 6.11.1996, and the resolution of the 1st respondent dated 9.5.2002.
Sri N.Ranga Reddy, Learned Standing Counsel for Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, would submit that the tender notification dated 25.2.2009 was issued inviting applications only for a period of one year, and the period prescribed in terms of the said tender notification expired on 31.3.2010.
Recording the statement of the Learned Standing Counsel and, as the cause in the writ petition does not survive, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. It is made clear that the interim order passed in this writ petition would no longer remain in operation in view of the dismissal of the Writ Petition. No costs.
