The Court made the following: ORDER:
This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief: “…to issue an appropriate writ more particularly one in the nature of writ of MANDAMUS declaring the action of the 1st respondent in interfering with the affairs of the Gram Panchayat in installing the statue of Dr.YSR in the place of the public utility at P.Siddarampuram Village, Atmakur Mandal, Anantapur District as illegal, arbitrary and against the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act.”
On 28.09.2010 and also on 29.12.2010, the writ petition was adjourned at the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner. On 23.02.2011, there was no representation for the petitioner and therefore, the case was adjourned. Even today, when the case is called, there is no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, it is reasonable to presume that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing its cause in the writ petition.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
As a sequel to dismissal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.30713 of 2010 filed by the petitioner for interim relief is disposed of as infructuous.
