ORDER:
The petitioner is working as Conductor in the Midhani Depot of APSRTC. The respondent passed an order dated 25-04-2011 placing the petitioner under suspension. The reason mentioned was that the petitioner had beaten a passenger when a demand was made for paying change after the ticket was issued. The said order is challenged.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent.
The petitioner does not dispute the competency of the respondent to place him under suspension. The question as to whether the allegation made against the petitioner is true needs to be considered in the enquiry. It is brought to the notice of this Court that domestic enquiry has since been completed.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
