Heard Sri Vedula Srinivas, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri M. Sudheer, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
This Writ Petition has been filed questioning the validity of the circular dated 18.04.1998 of the 1st respondent-Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Castes Cooperative Finance Corporation Limited, withdrawing payment of conveyance allowance for own vehicles and instead to pay bus pass charges.
The necessity to refer to the facts in detail has been obviated in view of the contents of the counter-affidavit filed by one Sri Z. Ramdas, Executive Direction, District Scheduled Castes Service Cooperative Society Limited, Khammam. In paragraph 4 of which counter, it is stated that by another circular dated 29.07.1998, the earlier orders of stopping the payment of conveyance allowance for own vehicles has been recalled and payment of conveyance allowance has been restored by the 1st respondent. Further, the State Government has also passed orders through their G.O.Ms.No. 108, Finance Department, dated 07.04.2010 enhancing the conveyance allowance for those who maintain a motor car or a motor cycle by 20% rounded off to the nearest Rs.10/- subject to a maximum of Rs.850/per month. The conveyance allowance for maintaining the bicycle has also been raised to Rs.200/- per month. Hence, it is stated that the 1st respondent has been paying Rs.850/- per month for those who own a motor car and Rs.840/- per month for those who own a motor cycle or a scooter and Rs.675/- per month for those who maintain a moped and Rs.200/- per month for those who use a bicycle as a means of
conveyance.
In view of this averment, it is agreed by both sides that the cause in this Writ Petition does not survive for further adjudication. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed
of. No costs.
