ORDER:
Heard Smt. G.Jhansi, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue for respondents 1, 4 and 5 and learned Government Pleader for Roads and Buildings for respondents 2 and 3.
The writ petitioners are the previous landholders who instituted this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus for declaring the proposed action of the respondents in allotting house site plots in land in Sy. No. 393(C) of Pericherla village, Medikonduru Mandal, Guntur District, which is an industrial area, as illegal.
Fortunately, all the contentions canvassed in this writ petition need not be adverted to in great detail, in view of the averments contained in the counter affidavit filed by the Tahsildar, Medikonduru Mandal. It is stated in paragraph (4) thereof that land belonging to the petitioners along with some other extent of land was acquired by the State and an award bearing No. 34 of 2011 was passed on 17.4.2002 and compensation was also received by the petitioners on 2.5.2002. However, as apprehended by the petitioners, the proposals for providing house sites to the displaced persons on account of construction of road over bridge has been dropped for the present. In that view of the matter, there is no necessity for keeping this writ petition pending any further. It is therefore disposed of. No costs.
