O R D E R:

Alleging disobedience to the order dated 01.5.2009 passed by this Court in W.P.M.P. No.12632 of 2009 in W.P. No.9709 of 2009, the petitioner therein filed the present contempt case. By the said order, the District Registrar of Societies, Hyderabad District, the respondent herein, was directed to take up the returns and proposals submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon as per law within three weeks from the date of receipt of the order and communicate the same to it.

2. The District Registrar, Hyderabad, filed his counter stating that

a copy of the aforestated order was received by his office on 29.7.2009 and was kept pending for necessary clarification as to the status of the signatures of the parties. Thereafter, as the petitioner society had failed to pay the requisite fee of Rs.100/- for effecting the amendment of the record, notice dated 09.6.2010 was addressed to it for making the payment. Thereupon, the petitioner society paid the amount of Rs.100/- on 15.6.2010 and in consequence, the list of office bearers submitted by the society was taken on record and the certified copy of the amendment was also issued. The officer accordingly justified the delay in compliance, which was due to the time taken for complying with the formalities and requirements.

3. In the light of the aforestated developments, it is clear that there is no wilful disobedience to the order passed by this Court warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction.

4. The contempt case is accordingly dismissed. No order as to costs.
