THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE N.V. RAMANA CONTEMPT CASE No. 1486 of 2011

ORDER:

This contempt case is filed complaining willful disobedience on the part of the respondents herein in complying with the order dated 15.07.2010 passed by this Court in W.P. No. 15348 of 2006, directing the respondents herein to maintain the 40’ road along the house of the petitioner, if necessary, by acquiring the land in possession of respondent No.6 therein, Polytechnic, by holding negotiations and paying compensation to them, as early as possible.

At the hearing, the Standing Counsel for the A.P. Housing Board submitted that the Housing Board has already initiated necessary action to comply with the aforesaid orders of this Court, that it had negotiated with the 6^th respondent in the writ petition, who has agreed to part with the land for maintaining 40’ road along the house of the petitioner, and administrative sanction was also granted by the Housing Board to lay the road.

Having regard to the above submissions made by the Standing Counsel, I see no reason to continue the contempt proceedings.

The contempt case is accordingly closed, placing on record the submissions made by the Standing Counsel. The respondents are, however, directed to complete the process of laying the road, expeditiously.
