ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel.
This writ petition is filed for issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the third respondent in issuing the proceedings in Rc.A.187/2007 dated 10.08.2007 under the Andhra Pradesh Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfers) Rules 2007 and proposing to dispossess the first petitioner from the land admeasuring Ac.3.35 cents in R.S.No.845/1 and second petitioner from the land admeasuring Ac.0.27 cents in R.S.No.845/1 situated in Perikegudem Village, Mandavalli Mandal, Krishna District, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently not to dispossess the petitioners from their respective lands till the appeals before the second respondent are disposed of and to pass such other suitable orders.
Several facts had been narrated in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition. It is also stated that appeals had been preferred before the second respondent and the second respondent had not passed any interim orders.
In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, let the second respondent dispose of the appeal, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till then, status quo, obtaining as on today, shall be maintained.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
