The petitioner seeks a declaration that the in action on the part of the respondents 1 to 4 in not taking action against the 5^th respondent who had allegedly obtained admission in the First year M.B.B.S Course on producing a false caste certificate, as arbitrary and illegal and consequently to direct cancellation of the 5^th respondent candidature in the First Year M.B.B.S Course under BC-‘A’ Category and admit the petitioner into First Year M.B.B.S Course under BC-‘A’ Category.

Admittedly, the admission of the 5^th respondent took place in the year 1997-98. Though, the petitioner sought for stay of the admission process, pending disposal of the writ petition, the same was not granted.

It is also relevant to note that by the time of filing of the writ petition, the petitioner had already joined in the

Course of Veterinary Science under B.C-‘A’ Group and in this writ petition he claimed that he should be given admission in M.B.B.S Course in the place of the 5^th respondent.

Having regard to the fact that in the absence of any interim order the admission process was completed and by this time the petitioner as well as the 5^th respondent must have completed their respective courses, no purpose would be served by directing any enquiry as sought by the petitioner at this stage.

Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed having been rendered

infructuous. No order as to costs.
