ORDER:
This writ petition which was instituted in the year 1998, seeks the following relief:
“Hence, it is just and necessary that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to appoint the petitioner as Cleaner or any other suitable or equivalent post in the service of the A.P.S.R.T.C. after due process of the selection with all consequential benefits.”
Unfortunately, the writ petitioner does not disclose the necessary data relating to as to how many employees were working under the private employment prior to the nationalisation of the route and as to how many of them stood absorbed into the service of the respondent A.P.S.R.T..C., nor does this writ petition disclose any right emanating from any scheme for such displaced employees to be absorbed into the service of the Corporation on priority basis. This apart, the writ petition discloses that the route in question has been nationalised some time in 1989 and the present writ petition has been instituted with a clean nine years delay later
on.
For the sheer delay and laches and for not disclosing the relevant material to enable this Court to adjudicate the issue, this writ petition is dismissed, but however, without costs.
