ORDER:
This writ petition is filed challenging the endorsement made by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Narasaraopet, Guntur District, in R.C.No.1780/04-B, dated 03-03-2006, wherein the petitioner was informed that after scrutiny of her application, the date of birth as mentioned in the S.S.C. certificate revealed that she has not completed 18 years and therefore, her application is rejected.
The learned counsel for the petitioner states that if the date of birth of the petitioner in her first class transfer certificate as well as eight class transfer certificate is taken into consideration, the petitioner would be crossing 18 years as on the date of Notification issued by the respondents inviting applications for filling up the vacancy of Fair Price Shop Dealership in Vipperla village, which is reserved for Scheduled Caste. Further, the Mandal Revenue Officer, Rompicherla, Rompicherla Mandal, Guntur District, also issued a Birth Certificate, dated 17-03-2001, showing the date of birth of the petitioner as 04-04-1987.
The above said Certificates cannot be considered by any authority and the only Certificate that needs to be considered is S.S.C. Certificate and the same was properly considered by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Narasaraopet, and the application of the petitioner was rightly rejected, since she was under aged as on the date of filing of the application. Therefore, the writ petition is devoid of merit and is liable to be dismissed.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no
order as to costs.
However, this order will not preclude the petitioner from applying for any post of Fair Price Shop Dealership, after attaining the age of majority.
