Petition under Article 226 of the constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the Affidavit filed herein the High Court will be pleased to issue an order or direction, more in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to make necessary corrections in respect of the surname of the petitioner and his son in Secondary School Certificate of the Petitioner's son issued with Hall Ticket No. 0038041 and further direct the 4th respondent to make the necessary corrections with regard to the name of the petitioner's son in the Intermediate Pass Certificate-cum-Memorandum of Marks issued with Registered No. 5543198 and consequently directs the 5th respondent, to allot a seat to the Petitioner 's son in B.Tech. Degree Course by virtue of his merit rank obtained in

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to correct the surname of the petitioner and his son in the Secondary School Certificate, and the name of his son in the Intermediate Pass Certificate-cum-Memorandum of Marks.

Son of the petitioner whose name is T.Sumeet Kumar, is described as “S.Sumeet Kumar, S/o.M.Sathyanarayan” in the Secondary School Certificate. Son of the petitioner is described as “T.Suneet Kummr, S/o.T.Sathyanarayana” in the Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Examination. In the Transfer Certificate issued by the School in which the son of the petitioner studied he is described as “T. Sumeet Kumar, S/o.T.Sathyanarayana”.

Since the correct name of the petitioner’s son is “T.SUMEET KUMAR” and the surname of the petitioner is “T”, respondents are directed to correct the name of the petitioner and his son as “T.SUMEET KUMAR S/o.T.SATHYANARAYAN” in place of “S.SUMEET KUMAR S/o.M.SATHYANARAYAN” and correct the name of the son of the petitioner as “T.SUMEET KUMAR” in place of “T.SUNEET KUMMR” in the certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education.

Accordingly, the writ petition is ordered. No costs.
