The present Writ Miscellaneous Application has been filed with an innocuous prayer seeking extension of time which was granted to the petitioner vide order dated 19.01.2026 passed by this Court, for payment of arrears of the rent.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is some delay in depositing the amount before the learned Rent Tribunal in compliance of the order dated 19.01.2026 but the amount has been deposited on 20.02.2026, and therefore, the same may be condoned.

Per contra, learned counsel for the respondent did not seriously object to the prayer made.

In view of the above, the present Writ Miscellaneous Application is allowed and the time period to deposit the arrears of rent before the learned Rent Tribunal is extended till 20.02.2026 the date on which the amount has been deposited.
