The present writ petition has been filed assailing the order dated 12.03.2026, passed by learned Rent Tribunal, Jaipur Metropolitan-II, whereby the application filed by the petitioner seeking permission to cross-examine the plaintiff’s witness has been declined.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that one last opportunity may be granted to the petitioner to cross-examine the plaintiff’s witness whose cross-examination has been closed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the remaining witnesses are yet to be examined.

Per contra, learned counsel for the respondent submits that sufficient opportunities have already been granted to the

petitioner, and therefore no further opportunity ought to be allowed.

Heard counsel for both the parties and perused the material available on record.

This Court, in the interest of justice, is of the view that it would be appropriate to grant one more opportunity to the petitioner to cross-examine the plaintiff’s witness whose cross-examination has been closed.

It is made clear that whenever the plaintiff’s witness is present on the next date of hearing before the learned Rent Tribunal, the petitioner shall conduct the cross-examination, and no further opportunity shall be granted in this regard.

With the above observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.

¶24

Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
