The instant petition has been preferred by the complainantpetitioner seeking directions to the Investigating Officer for conducting fair and impartial investigation of FIR No782/2021, registered with Police Station Mansarovar, District Jaipur City (South).

On earlier occasions, this Court vide orders dated 26.03.2025 and 13.04.2026 instructed the Public Prosecutor to get the factual report of investigation conducted so far in the aforementioned FIR. Pursuant to the aforesaid orders, factual report has been received from the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mansarover, Jaipur (South) which indicates that the investigation is pending and notices have been issued to the accused.

More than five years have passed after registration of the impugned FIR, but till date, the investigation is proceeding at a snail’s pace. It is expected from the Investigating Officer to make all possible endeavours to conclude the investigation and submit the result of investigation, under Section 173 Cr.P.C., expeditiously as early as possible.

In-spite of the above, in case the complainant-petitioner feels aggrieved by any inaction on the part of the Investigating Officer, he would be at liberty to submit a representation before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur (South) for redressal of his grievance.
