This petition in the nature of Habeas Corpus is filed by the petitioner–father, for production of his minor-daughter (hereinafter referred to as ‘detenue’).

Today the detenue has been produced in the Court as identified by Mr.Narendra Singh, SHO and Ms.Archana, MFC, 2167 Police Station Weir, District Bharatpur.

The statement of detenue recorded on 16.09.2025 is produced in the Court. The minor stated that her marriage was being forcibly solemnized by parents but she wanted to continue her studies.

We have interacted with the detenue, who states that she does not feel safe with her parents and refuse to go with them and wants to pursue her study. Detenue states that she is studying in Class-IX.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed of with the direction to the State Authorities that the minor shall be kept in Rajkiya Balika Grah Bharatpur.

It shall be ensured that the minor is able to continue with her study and facilities required to pursue for her education shall be provided by the authority. The minor shall be kept in Rajkiya Balika Grah, Bharatpur till she attains the age of majority. The parents of minor shall be entitled to meet her after following the due procedure of the Rajkiya Balika Grah, Bharatpur.

A copy of this order be provided to the learned Additional Advocate General and a copy be also sent to the Superintendent/ In-charge/ Caretaker of Rajkiya Balika Grah, Bharatpur for necessary compliance.
