With the consent of counsel for both parties, the writ petition has been heard finally on merits.

In the instant writ petition, vide interim order dated 20.09.2024, respondents were directed to accept offline application form of petitioner to permit him to appear in the examination of Common Eligibility Test (Graduation Level) – 2024 scheduled on 27.09.2024.

In compliance thereof, respondents have accepted offline application form. Petitioner has appeared in the examination. The result of the petitioner has been produced by the respondents before this Court wherein petitioner has declared eligible in the CET (Graduation Level)- 2024. Note-sheet along with the result reads as under:-

Since the issue involved in the instant writ petition was in respect of not accepting the online application form of petitioner for CET (Graduation Level) -2024 due to technical glitches, hence, in that eventuality petitioner made prayer to submit offline application for, and accordingly respondents were directed to accept offline application form of petitioner.

Respondents, indisputably, have accepted offline application form and have permitted the petitioner to appear in the examination of CET, as much as in the result, he has also been declared eligible.

Although, reply to the writ petition has not been filed, yet counsel for respondents submits that in usual course, offline form cannot be accepted by the respondent-Board, however, it is note worthy that the technical glitches, which have been pointed out by the petitioner and due to which his online application form could not be filled, have not been disputed/ denied from the side of respondent.

From the record, it is clear that petitioner tried to submit online application form on 05.09.2024, before the last date to submit the offline application form that was 07.09.2024 pursuant to advertisement dated 06.08.2024 and thereafter forthwith, the petitioner filed instant writ petition.

Now since offline application form has been accepted, this Court deems it just and proper that interest of justice would be served, if respondents are directed to declare the result of petitioner for examination CET (Graduation Level) -2024, treating his offline application form as valid.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms.

Respondents are directed to declare the result of petitioner of examination CET (Graduation Level)- 2024.

Stay application and other pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
