By way of filing this criminal miscellaneous petition, the petitioners have challenged FIR No.176/2018 dated 05.06.2018 lodged at Police Station Nagar, District Bharatpur for the offence under Sections 498-A, 406, 376 and 511 IPC.

It is submitted that on account of some confusion and difference of opinion, under ill advice, FIR was lodged by the complainant, however, during the pendency of the criminal

miscellaneous petition, both the parties have entered into compromise dated 06.10.2025.

The compromise is taken on record.

Complainant-Smt Sulekha @ Surekha Kumari is present in Court alongwith her counsel. She has not disputed the fact that the compromise has been entered into by her and she has also admitted her signature on the compromise. She alongwith her Advocate submitted that in view of compromise, they do not want to prosecute the petitioners.

In the matter of Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab (2012) 10 SCC 303 the Hon'ble Supreme Court has held that the matters where compromise have been entered into by the parties and which do not involve serious offences, the disputes can be closed on the basis of compromise entered into between the complainant and accused.

In the light of aforesaid facts and more particularly the compromise dated 06.10.2025, which has been placed jointly by both the parties before the Court and the same has also been taken on record, this Court finds it just and proper to exercise inherent power so as to quash and set aside FIR No.176/2018 dated 05.06.2018 registered at Police Station Nagar, District Bharatpur qua the petitioners and all the proceedings pursuant to the aforesaid FIR are also quashed and set aside.

The Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands disposed of accordingly.

Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
