Learned counsel for the appellants submitted that the respondents Nos.1 and 2 have acquired Post Graduation Degree [M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy)] from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (Prayagraj) (U.P.), which is not valid as per the general guidelines issued by the appellant No.1 – Coordinator, JET – Pre – PG – Ph.D. Entrance Examination – 2023, Agriculture University, Jodhpur for registration in Ph.D. Course. Learned counsel submitted that though M.Sc. Degree of the respondents Nos. 1 and 2 is recognized by ICAR but that

would not make them eligible for registration/admission in Ph.D. course in the State of Rajasthan. It is submitted that the admission granted to the respondents Nos.1 and 2 for Ph.D. course was provisional in nature and therefore, on coming to know that the respondents Nos.1 and 2 do not possess valid degree to seek admission in Ph.D. course in State of Rajasthan, the same has rightly been cancelled. However, the learned counsel for the appellant candidly conceded that pursuant to the order passed by learned Single Judge, the respondents Nos.1 and 2 have already been registered/admitted in Ph.D. course and for the last about 10 months they are pursuing their studies with the Agriculture University, Jodhpur.
