Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

By way of filing the present writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the validity of the e-bid information dated 22.02.2024 for award of tender to provide electricity, mic, generator etc.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide communication dated 09.10.2023, the petitioner was awarded the tender for providing the electricity, mic & generator etc. for the Assembly Elections as well as Loksabha Elections, 2024. Learned counsel further submits that without cancelling the earlier contract, the respondents have proceeded to issue a fresh e-bid on 22.02.2024 which is absolutely arbitrary and illegal. He,

therefore, prays that the writ petition may be allowed and the e- bid information dated 22.02.2024 may be quashed and set aside.

I have considered the submissions made at the Bar and have gone through the relevant record of the case.

It is true that the petitioner was awarded a contract for providing electricity, mic, amplifier system, generator etc. vide order dated 09.10.2023 during the Assembly Elections, 2023 and Loksabha Elections, 2024, however, without cancelling the same, the respondents have issued e-bid information on 22.02.2024.

The contention of the counsel for the petitioner that the respondents cannot issue e-bid information on 22.02.2024 is now being challenged by way of filing this writ petition in the month of April, 2024. This Court feels that in pursuance of the e-bid information dated 22.02.2024, the requisite bidding process has been completed and a tender must have been allotted as the elections are going to be held on 19.04.2024, merely four days from today.

Since the petitioner has approached this Court after a gross delay, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition at this stage. The writ petition is, therefore, dismissed.

Stay application as well as other pending applications, if any, shall stand disposed of.
