The petitioner/landlord has preferred this writ petition under Article 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India seeking direction against the Rent Control Tribunal, Jodhpur, to decide the Rent Petition No.19/2022 titled as “Smt. Uma Devi Vs. Babu Lal” expeditiously.
While taking into consideration the provisions of Section 15(5) of the Rajasthan Rent Control Act, 2001, which provides for time bound expeditious disposal of the petitions, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the instant writ petition with the expectation that the learned Rent Tribunal, Jodhpur Metropolitan, shall proceed with the adjudication of eviction petition with celerity and dispose of the same at the earliest, preferably within a period of ‘240 days’ from today, strictly in accordance with law.
All pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
